In 1996, I brought my summer job (car polishing) money to the nearby music shop and bought my first setup, a little keyboard and a Roland soundcard for my computer. Even though I never learned how to play music by chords instead of notes, I started to experiment with song writing. Things have come a long way since then! I met exciting people in Holland, Germany and Switzerland, so most songs are a collaboration. Of all musicians, Samiha and Klaus (see Say What) have helped and inspired me most, you can hear them in many recordings. In Zurich, I recorded a lot of stuff with Alex and other colleagues of our band Funk'o'meter. In the picture above you see Adrian in the wonderful italian part of Switzerland.

Here's a really smooth jazz track, Charlie added the fantastic soprano sax leads and harmonies. The timing still amazes me, nicely lazy
{mp3|jazz}Peaches [2011]

This tune is not just for fun. It deals with terrorism - and how to deal with it ourselves. Vocals by Samiha, bass by Carlos Denalane
{mp3|soul}Close Your Eyes [2007]

This might be my favorite track, so far. Initially it was a piano lovesong, but Klaus came in to demonstrate his new acoustic guitar and we turned the track upside down. I just love his guitar solo at the end.
{mp3|s&sw}Bring You Home [2007]

Quiet now was composed by Samiha and she came to me to record it, as a piano ballad. I decided to go an entirely different route, with electronics and a sparse d'n'b like sound.
{mp3|dance}Quiet Now [Bayoumi / 2008]

This track started as a pointless jam, but while jamming with Funk'o'meter we turned it into a no frills funk tune
{mp3|funk}Seriously Not [2006/2011]

This is a simple ballad, in Dutch. You wake up, next day, and pretend nothing happened. The solo is played with a wonderful instrument, the ARP Pro-Soloist synthesizer from the 70s.
{mp3|soul}Niks Gebeurd [2008]

This is slightly out-of-the-box for mr. funk and soul...there's a lot more rock elements in here, great guitar work from Alex and vocals from Sarah. Thanks!
{mp3|rock}Salad Days [2010]

Here's my favorite live tune. Now Elisa sings it, I swapped some of the lyrics to make it less saucy, haha
{mp3|funk}Quality Time [2010]
