[ S a y W h a t ? ]

Here's a couple of recordings of "Say What?", my Berlin funkband. Originally, Klaus (guitars) and I met in the dark, damp basement of a dubious Jazzclub "Flöz" in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. Fed up with the wacky performances on that jam session, We decided to start a band. We played in numerous configurations and I had even given up playing in a band altogether, until Klaus and Samiha came to me and said, "we know you are busy but...this singer Hildegunn, drummer Hannes and Rainer on bass, you've got to hear..." so then I was back in!

We played songs that Rainer described as "funk for intellectuals", covers, and some of my own songs. Say What are still in business with a new keyboardist and some other personnel changes. Go check them out!
